I married into a dairy farming family 20 years ago. I rode and broke horses for a living; breaking, training, teaching and showing for 15 years after attending Virginia Intermont College and double majoring in business admin and equine management. After an injury, marriage & children, riding at that professional level was no longer possible. I began my insurance career at the Orange County Farm Bureau office on a part time basis and began to feel passionate that people were improperly insured, because they lacked the proper information to make informed decisions about how to spend their insurance dollars. I started with health insurance initially because I could see how much our seniors and young families needed help making informed decisions about their health care.
Greg Truslow, the principal agent here has always been my personal insurance agent and we had a great rapport from the very beginning. He offered me a position in his independent office more than a year ago. Since then, not only do I handle Health Insurance, I have branched out and am doing much more in the equine specialty insurances as well as farm and crop insurance. I truly believe that if you take care of your clients and help them make informed insurance decisions that you never have to worry about where then next client will come from.
