The ERIE claims that you cannot buy the equal of its Pioneer Family Auto Policy at any price....Here's the proof!

  • First Accident Forgiveness. On any collision claim free policy in force for 3 years or more, the ERIE will not apply a surcharge on the first surchargeable at-fault accident which is presented on an Erie Insurance Exchange Family Auto Policy.

  • PERC-Personal Experience Rating Credit. Provides a claims free discount for each three year period in which there is no claim filed.

  • Feature 15. Never surcharge for any at-fault accidents on a Erie
    Family Auto Policy which has been continuously in force for 15 years.

  • The ERIE will waive the collision deductible in the event of an
    accident between two autos insured by The ERIE.

  • When transportation expense coverage for collision is purchased, we will pay your transportation expenses beginning immediately after any collision loss--no waiting period.

  • Covers your transportation expense beginning immediately after a comprehensive loss--no waiting period.

  • Our policy pays for first aid relief to persons and animals.

  •  We will pay up to $50 for the costs incurred for locksmith services if keys accidentally are locked in an auto we protect.*

  • The policy covers the costs to replace a deployed air bag.*

  • Up to $1000 of coverage is provided for sound equipment which is
    installed permanently elsewhere than in the opening of the dash or console normally used by the auto manufacturer to install sound equipment.*

  • Your comprehensive deductible will be waived when a damaged windshield is repaired instead of replaced.*

  •  We provide liability protection for our policyholders and their spouses when driving a non-owned auto furnished for their regular use, unless furnished by a government agency or unit.

  • Management is restricted to no more than 25 percent of the premium to use for expenses. This leaves the rest of the premiums to protect the Policyholders.

*Denotes that these features are applicable if Physical Damage Coverage is purchased.

Claims Service

 

We realize that each policy sold is a promise of service; a promise we're prepared to keep.  That's why we use our own trained adjusters, whenever possible, insuring that your claim will be settled quickly and fairly by personnel who know our policy and understand our service philosophy.  Our claims services include:

  • Contact standards ensuring you'll be promptly contacted after reporting a loss, in most cases that same day

  • After-hours service allowing you to report losses after normal business hours, on weekends and on holidays, by calling
    1-800-367-3743.

  • EIGlass Program, 1-800-552-ERIE, simplifying the auto glass repair and replacement process.  The program is designed to speed the claims process, to offer 24-hour claims reporting service and to be flexible enough to let you decide who should repair or replace your windshield.

  • Direct Repair Program allowing you to select your own body shop or one of numerous participating body shops.  Participating body shops will directly bill The ERIE, less your deductible, as an added convenience for you.
